Crate training my puppy(IM so nervous)?
My puppy is gonna be 8 weeks old when I get it….. I want to know how to crate train it. I go to school from 7:45 til 2:20 so Im gonna take him out before I get ready for school. My dad is going to take car of him when im at school. and my mom will be off work 4 about 3 months. also HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR HIM TO BE TRAINED
How do I crate train my puppy.
I dont wanna do the playpen method because that will teach him my bathroom is for reliving itself.
but I feel like crate training is like him being in a jail of some sort
any suggestions
Our trainer told us NEVER use the crate as a punishment and to use it at night , we had the crate in the bedroom with us and she went in with a toy and usually went to sleep right away. Always take her out to pee right away when you get up-don’t waste time.
Our dog is 3years old now and we don’t need the crate(she’s really good), but she stills goes in it if she needs to be alone.
